How First Steps to Success Has Helped Dianne!

Prior to attending First Steps to Success, I was struggling and completely burdened emotionally, physically and financially.

As a Single Mom of 3 with no income to speak of, literally grasping at ways to feed my kids who were younger through those years, continually living in overdraft at the bank, worrying constantly!!!

This created over $29,000. of income in 30 days after that event, leading into six figures in my first six months and then ending the FIRST year of business with $249,000.00 of income!

To say my life changed is an understatement!!!!! I do not recognize my life at all and have been able to pay off $110,000 of credit card debt in 9 1/2 months, pay of a Line of Credit and have been making EXTRA payments to get my Mortgage (my last debt) Paid off FAST!!!!!

In the first 22 days of 2016 I have generated over $27,000.00 of profit and the month is not over yet!!!! I tithe to my home Church who have blessed and supported me over the years and I give above in donations and offerings to feed and house Orphans all over the world!

Again, I don’t recognize my life!

Thinking: Rich vs. Poor Thinking – 7 Mindsets of the Wealthy!

  • Most people believe that the rich have secrets to wealth that will not ever be shared with the peasants of the world. The truth is, the rich do have secrets. But they are probably not what you would expect. A simple shift in mindset can put you on the path to becoming as wealthy as you want to be. The following are examples of rich thinking vs poor thinking. Once you modify your view of wealth attainment, it will become clear just how possible the dream really is.

    Poor Mindset: “I grew up poor, so I will always be poor.”

    Rich Mindset: “I do not want to be poor, so I refuse to be poor.”

    In the United States today, there are more self-made millionaires and billionaires than at any previous time in our nation’s history. Long gone are the days where one must be born a rich baby to become a rich adult. It is a common, and dooming, mindset of the poor that one will forever be stuck in his station. However, the rich know that the first step to obtaining wealth is the awareness that it is possible.

    Poor Mindset: “It would be wonderful to be rich.”

    Rich Mindset: “I am going to be rich.”

    There is a great difference between dreaming of being rich, and deciding to be rich. Once you aware (and convinced) that wealth is possible, it is natural to wander into the land of daydreams–oh, the houses and cars you will be able to buy, the luxurious vacations, etc. If you are truly to become rich, you need to snap yourself out of the fantasy, and commit fully to the reality. Choose a concrete financial goal to cling to. Be sure that it is something truly meaningful to you, because luxury items will lose their appeal once the journey becomes more difficult. Perhaps your dream is to obtain wealth so that you can put your children through college, or retire comfortably in a beautiful location. Keep your true reason for desiring wealth in your mind at all times.

     

    Poor Mindset: “Someday I will learn how to become rich, after I ________”

    Rich Mindset: “I will learn how to become rich TODAY.”

    Those who procrastinate never become wealthy. Time is your greatest asset, and should be treated as such. If you are to become rich, you must start today. This is not to say that your bank account will suddenly grow–rather, you need to begin cultivating yourself and planning exactly how you are going to gain your wealth. Begin your research, write down your thoughts and ideas, and put them into action as soon as feasibly possible. It will take a while for the money to come in, which is why it is imperative that one begins immediately. 

    Poor Mindset: “I don’t think I can do it, so I won’t risk failing.”

    Rich Mindset: “Even if I fail, I have unlimited opportunities.”

    Here is a secret of the rich: Everyone fears failure. What separates the rich from the poor is the ability to recognize the fear and continue anyway. The poor believe that failing at a task makes that person a failure. The rich understand that everybody fails (not a person in the world is exempt), and that there are no limits to how many times one can restart and try again. Fear of failure needs to be seen as an opportunity rather than an obstacle. As billionaire Mark Cuban says, “I am always afraid of failing. It’s great motivation to work harder.” 

    Poor Mindset: “My friends and family will laugh at me if they know I am trying to get rich.”

    Rich Mindset: “I will share my secrets with others only after they ask how I got rich.”

    One fear that is not discussed enough, but is ever-present in all of us, is the fear of looking greedy or haughty to our friends and family. We worry that our loved ones will view us as arrogant, or foolish, to believe that we are capable of becoming rich. And what if we then fail? Will we be laughed at by the people whom we care about the most? The wealthy know that the best way to combat this fear is to keep your ambitions and plans as close to the chest as possible. Include only those who you can count on to be supportive, and avoid negative naysayers like the plague.  

    Poor Mindset: “I don’t have the time or interest to learn new things.”

    Rich Mindset: “I am my greatest asset, and the more I know, the more opportunities will present themselves to me.”

    Concentrating on money and how to get more of it will be a waste of time unless you invest in your own personal growth. Choose one personal goal at a time that will help you on your journey to becoming wealthy. Perhaps your plan is to start a business, but you lack knowledge in entrepreneurship. Or you want to invest in the stock market, but know nothing on the subject. Educate yourself. Spend a designated amount of time each day learning about your topic and practicing the skills that accompany it. Abraham Lincoln once said, “I will prepare and some day my chance will come.” By preparing, you will recognize when the opportunity comes your way. Without preparation, the chance will pass you by without being noticed.

    Poor Mindset: “Nothing I try has worked yet. This has been a waste of time, and I am done.”

    Rich Mindset: “Obtaining wealth requires persistence and patience.”

    Let us review your journey so far. You have realized it is possible to become rich, and decided it is what you will do. You began right away, and faced the fear of failure head-on. You surrounded yourself with those who support your ambition, and you invested in your own personal growth.

    The money still has not come in.

    After all of this work, and a huge shift in financial mindset, are you really going to quit? If you plan to be poor, you will quit. If you plan to be rich, you will not. Keep in mind that if it were simple and quick, everybody would be rich. While building wealth is rarely quick, it can be simple. Stick to your plan, build good habits, and never stop investing in yourself–the results will pay dividends.

Where Do I Start as an Online Entrepreneur?!

So you want to get into online business? Good for you! Becoming an online entrepreneur can help you reach customers around the world and achieve your dream income and lifestyle. In fact, as of December 2015, it was estimated that approximately 2.5 billion people were logging onto the Internet every single day and spending millions of dollars online. Becoming an online entrepreneur gives you the chance to have a piece of that pie.

Being an online entrepreneur not only gives you the potential to succeed immensely, but it gives you the freedom to work where you want, how you want, and create the type of business you want to have. Gone would be the 9-5 hour days of sitting at a desk. Instead, you could be sitting on a plane to Hawaii while your business makes money for you.

This all sounds great but you are probably wondering where to start as an online entrepreneur. Like with everything else in life, you need to start with the basics. If you want to build an online business and become a successful online entrepreneur, start by following these steps.

Find a Need…Then Fill It

The first question you need to ask when starting an online business is what will your business sell? Will it be physical products, software, clothing, or something else? Now, this is a bit of a trick question because that is where most new entrepreneurs start…with the product. If you really want to be successful then you first need to find a need.

Pick an audience and discover what problems and trials they face in their everyday lives that don’t have a solution. Once you know that, then create a product that fills that need. Your online business will be much more successful if you start by solving a problem rather than by merely creating a cool product.

Build a Strong Base

When you become an online entrepreneur, there are a few things you absolutely must have. You must have a killer website, an email list, and a social media presence. This is especially the case if you have an online presence only. New customers will only be able to find you online and if you lack these three elements, you’ll be lost amidst the other online companies.

When it comes to creating a killer website, you must always think of the customer’s experience first. Keep it simple, clean, and easy to navigate. Also, make sure it loads quickly. You only have a few seconds, less than 5, to keep a customer’s attention before they leave your site. Make sure you include an opt-in offer (free content, discounts, etc) in exchange for email addresses to help you build your email list.

Sending emails is still one of the best ways to get a customer to convert. Plus, if you have obtained email addresses through your website or other opt-in offers, then you know the recipients want to hear from you. This gives you an even better chance of having them convert and buy your products.

Social media is one of the darlings of the marketing world right now and it would do your online business good to jump in as well. Keeping a consistent presence on social media sites can help you build an audience that is interested in your business. Building an audience of friends and followers that are loyal helps give your business a better reputation. Make sure though, that you only use social media platforms that help your business. Otherwise, you will be wasting your time.

Create a Good Reputation

One of the most important things you need to understand about online business is that people buy from people/companies they trust. If you want new customers, then you have to be a trustworthy company. There are several ways you can do this but here are two that we think are especially important.

The first way to create a good reputation is to establish yourself as an expert in your market. Publish free content that your audience will find useful including articles, videos, and infographics etc. Setting yourself up as an authority figure, especially as an online entrepreneur, will help your business gain the credibility it needs to succeed.

The second way to build up your reputation is through customer interaction and customer reviews. Customers will leave reviews on social media, Google, and other online sites. It is important for you to always follow-up with the reviews, whether they are positive or negative. Make sure you work through the problems that your customers face to let them know that you care about them as a customer. Potential customers will see this interaction and know that they can trust your company because of it.

Becoming an online entrepreneur is a rewarding career and carries with it a lot of potential for success. When you start your online business, stick to the basics to get yourself off the ground. Find a need and then fill it with a great product, build a strong base, and create and obtain a good reputation. 3 Things That Hold People Back From Online Success

Starting something new is always a bit nerve-racking, especially when it involves making money.

Starting an online business can be an amazing adventure, but it can also come with some unexpected bumps in the road. You won’t get everything right when you’re first launching your business, but that’s okay as long as you have a plan in mind and know what it is you are trying to accomplish to achieve online success. Did you come up with your own product that you’re selling on an e-commerce site? Do you want to be an affiliate marketer? Are you selling your own digital products, like an e-course or coaching services?

No matter what it is you are trying to do to accomplish online, you must be aware of these 3 things that hold people back from achieving online success. If you can avoid these 3 common pitfalls, you will reach your goals and achieve the success you desire.

#1: I’m Afraid to Fail

News flash: everyone on the planet is at least slightly afraid of failure, especially those who are seeking online success. It’s part of human nature to be afraid of taking risks and falling flat on your face, but if you want to truly be a successful online entrepreneur you will have to endure failure. You need to admit to yourself out loud that becoming an online entrepreneur will come with setbacks and failures. You have to admit this to yourself before you take one step forward, because otherwise you will lose courage as the journey gets increasingly difficult. It’s not a question of if you will fail, but when. As long as you know what you’re aiming for failure shouldn’t scare you.

#2: I’m not an Expert 

The idea that you need a few fancy letters after your name to make money online is a very outdated concept. Yes, to practice medicine you do need to be a doctor—same thing goes for lawyers. But becoming an expert typically does not require you to be certified in anything other than your own life experience. If you are amazing at helping people save and invest their money, then you can make a great living teaching people online. Same thing goes for fitness. You don’t have to be a business expert to sell products online either. If you have experience in a specific area and you know how to get results for yourself and others, that’s all the expertise you need. Don’t let a few credentials keep you from living out your online business dream.

#3: I Have Things to Figure out

All of us have things to figure out. Do you think Steve Jobs knew every thing there is to know about computers and software before he started Apple? Do you think Mark Cuban knew everything about live streaming before he started his internet company Broadcast.com, and later sold it to Yahoo for billions of dollars? If you are waiting for all the stars to align and say you’re ready to launch an online business, you will be waiting forever. None of us are ready to take the next step—not really. What you need to do is have faith that with hard work, you’ll be able to learn what you need to learn to be successful. But what you need to do right now is just take the leap. There will never be a perfect time to start your online business—that perfect time is right now. Here’s to your success!!

3 Things You Must Have to Make Money From Home!

I told you I’d share a successful home business must have in my last post.  I’m a man of my word and I want you to know exactly what you need to be looking for if you want ever want to make a lucrative income.  The first one goes without saying you need an amazing product, but not just any product.  You need a product people want.  Second, you must have a solid system on getting clients, showing clients the details and bringing clients to a decision and finally you need Dani Johnson’s training and a solid way to implement it.  I’ll share more on that in a moment!

First, let’s talk about the product you need a product that people want to buy, not just what they need.  Ask any life insurance sales man, everyone is going to die and everyone needs life insurance.  Not everyone “wants” to buy life insurance!  For me I chose the travel industry, why?  Ask 1,000 people what they would do if they won the lottery and 990 of them will probably say travel the world, go on an amazing vacation and give their family and friends memories.  Most people go into debt just to take a vacation every single year.  So when you find a product people want now make sure it’s got a solid track record.  Ideally something that’s been around for 20+ years, then you have real stability

Second, you should never have to create websites, video’s or other presentations.  Look to work with an organization that has already done that.  The company or group you work with should already have in place not only websites, contact management systems, toll-free numbers, pre-written emails and tons of results of people using those websites and tools successfully and succeeding. Do you have access to the same thing other successful people before you have used?  Bottom line is there a very simple way to have constant fresh clients interested in what you have and coming to you?

Third, there has to be solid training in place.  As long as you have a product that is lucrative, you just need someone to walk you step by step how to successfully market it and deal with your new clients. No one teaches this better than Dani Johnson, she has scripts that you can use with your websites that show you how to start the conversation and turn da-luxury-lifestylea prospect into a client from A to Z.  I often times tell people I just want to learn to master everything Dani teaches and become really good a showing others how to apply it to our products and business model.  The key you have to ask your self do you have someone who you can regularly connect with?  Someone who’s already making 6 figures and has for years.  Do you have their phone number, email and do they answer or respond when you reach out them. Do they always have an answer to train you with.

If you got started with a product and/or company but you don’t have that training Dani Johnson should absolutely become your base line!  Use her training, buy her script books right away, I made 104,000 dollars my first year using her training.  Previously I had never worked from home before and that was over 10 years ago.  104,000 dollars is the least I’ve ever made, period.  Use her training, it has helped 1,000’s generate 10,000’s of 1,000’s working from home.

So if you want to make a lucrative income working from home and you’ve found a product that pays well to market and it’s a product people WANT not just need.  If you’ve found a system that works and others are making 6 figures and if you have someone training you showing step by step how to apply exactly what Dani Johnson teaches you are well on your way to a 6 Figure income!

How To Become a Superstar in Direct Sales!

homepagegraphicmontageconDirect sales, in particular it’s sub-type, network marketing, is often viewed negatively. A bad experience with an overzealous or outright dishonest rep, as well as myths and misunderstandings about direct sales keep many people away from this home business option.

However, direct sales is a viable way to start a home based business if you go in with the right attitude, knowledge, and willingness to work.

 Here are tips for achieving success in direct sales and MLM.

1) Understand that it’s a business like any other business.

Direct sales marketers have the tendency to water down the plan so that it’s easy to understand, but that can also give the impression that it’s easy to do. “Help five people get eight people, and you’ll get a free car.” What they don’t tell you is that you’ll need to talk to at least 50 people to get the five people, and help them talk to at least 80 people each to get their eight.

Success in direct sales comes from the same things that make any other business a success; know your market, find them, deliver a message that appeals to them, and service them well.

2) Use your company’s products and services.

The best direct sales rep use and love their products. They talk about them with enthusiasm, which is what helps sell them. Using your products and services also gives you personal experiences and information so you can discuss them honestly and accurately with potential customers.

 3) Read and understand your company’s marketing and compensation plan, and policies.

Some companies forbid you to use their name in your marketing. Others don’t allow you to set up your own consultant website. The point is, buying into a business means there may be rules and restrictions you need to abide by.

Further, to maximize your income, you need to know the best way to make money. Which products are the most popular and earn you the most income? How can you earn bonuses? What are the overrides by helping others start a business?

4) Determine the best market for your products, services, and business plan.

Most direct sales companies start new reps by having them make a list of 100 people. While you might find your new customers and business partners in this list, this method isn’t the most efficient way to get started. In all other business models, you want to find the best buyers of your products and focus on them. Identifying your target market means you don’t waste time trying to pitch people who don’t want what you’re selling.

Further, in direct sales, there is a tendency to focus on targeting people who want to make money, and that’s not bad, but you’re better off focusing on people who want to make money AND would like your products and services. People aren’t going to be successful selling something they can’t get behind.

Further, retail sales is a part of how money is made, but you can’t sell products to people who don’t want or need them. So figure out who wants and needs what you’re selling.

5) Figure out where you can find your target market.

General advertising and promotion doesn’t work as well as sending your message directly to your market. What websites do they surf, what magazines do they read, what organizations do they belong to, etc.? That’s where you want to focus your marketing efforts.

6) Determine how your market can benefit from your products, services, and business plan.

Will your customers gain energy, become smarter, cook better, feel confident? Reframe all the great things about your product and business into benefits. If your products are non-toxic, what does that mean? Fewer asthma spells? Less allergies? Poor marketing strategies are one of the top reasons home businesses fail, so develop a marketing plan that highlights your company’s benefits to your target market.

7) Differentiate yourself from the thousands of other people who are working with the same company.

Why should people buy from you rather than that other rep who lives next door? Some ways to set yourself apart are to offer a higher level of service, give discounts or freebies, set up a loyalty program, etc. The key is to find a way to stand out from all the others selling the same thing you are.

8)  Develop your own website and marketing tools, if allowed by your company.

This is another way you can differentiate yourself and customize what you offer. For example, on your own website you can offer an email newsletter with tips and helpful hints. Print business cards with an offer, such as a free consultation or a discount.

9) Network to find your market.

As already mentioned, most direct sales companies recommend making a list of 100 people, which can be a good place to start, except if none of those 100 people need your product or business. Instead, use your network to help you find people in your target market.

10) Make appointments.

Direct sales work because it’s a people to people business. Whether you’re showing a product or introducing the business plan, you have to do it in front of people. The direct sales reps who make the most presentations are usually the ones who win.

11) Develop a system for staying in touch with prospects, clients, and new business builders.

The fortune is in the follow-up! Too often, direct sales consultants give up after the first ‘no.’ But that ‘no’ may actually mean ‘it’s not a good time.’ Newsletters are a great way to keep your name in front of people, so if the time becomes right, they can contact you. Good customer service and continued contact goes a long way to getting repeat and referral business (for all types of businesses, not just direct sales). Well you don’t want to annoy people, you do want to create a system for staying in touch until they tell to stop.

Finally, if you’ve helped someone start their business, it’s your job to train, mentor and support them. Your success depends partly on their success.

12) Make a commitment to not quit.

Despite what the nay-sayers will tell you, the failure rate in network marketing and direct sales isn’t any more than any other home business opportunity. Just as many people give up selling on eBay, freelancing their skills, blogging and more. What differentiates success from failure in any home business is commitment to never quit. That means learning to overcome rejection, avoiding mistakes, and staying the course towards success.
