Prior to attending First Steps to Success, I was struggling and completely burdened emotionally, physically and financially.

So you want to get into online business? Good for you! Becoming an online entrepreneur can help you reach customers around the world and achieve your dream income and lifestyle. In fact, as of December 2015, it was estimated that approximately 2.5 billion people were logging onto the Internet every single day and spending millions of dollars online. Becoming an online entrepreneur gives you the chance to have a piece of that pie.
Being an online entrepreneur not only gives you the potential to succeed immensely, but it gives you the freedom to work where you want, how you want, and create the type of business you want to have. Gone would be the 9-5 hour days of sitting at a desk. Instead, you could be sitting on a plane to Hawaii while your business makes money for you.
This all sounds great but you are probably wondering where to start as an online entrepreneur. Like with everything else in life, you need to start with the basics. If you want to build an online business and become a successful online entrepreneur, start by following these steps.
The first question you need to ask when starting an online business is what will your business sell? Will it be physical products, software, clothing, or something else? Now, this is a bit of a trick question because that is where most new entrepreneurs start…with the product. If you really want to be successful then you first need to find a need.
Pick an audience and discover what problems and trials they face in their everyday lives that don’t have a solution. Once you know that, then create a product that fills that need. Your online business will be much more successful if you start by solving a problem rather than by merely creating a cool product.
When you become an online entrepreneur, there are a few things you absolutely must have. You must have a killer website, an email list, and a social media presence. This is especially the case if you have an online presence only. New customers will only be able to find you online and if you lack these three elements, you’ll be lost amidst the other online companies.
When it comes to creating a killer website, you must always think of the customer’s experience first. Keep it simple, clean, and easy to navigate. Also, make sure it loads quickly. You only have a few seconds, less than 5, to keep a customer’s attention before they leave your site. Make sure you include an opt-in offer (free content, discounts, etc) in exchange for email addresses to help you build your email list.
Sending emails is still one of the best ways to get a customer to convert. Plus, if you have obtained email addresses through your website or other opt-in offers, then you know the recipients want to hear from you. This gives you an even better chance of having them convert and buy your products.
Social media is one of the darlings of the marketing world right now and it would do your online business good to jump in as well. Keeping a consistent presence on social media sites can help you build an audience that is interested in your business. Building an audience of friends and followers that are loyal helps give your business a better reputation. Make sure though, that you only use social media platforms that help your business. Otherwise, you will be wasting your time.
One of the most important things you need to understand about online business is that people buy from people/companies they trust. If you want new customers, then you have to be a trustworthy company. There are several ways you can do this but here are two that we think are especially important.
The first way to create a good reputation is to establish yourself as an expert in your market. Publish free content that your audience will find useful including articles, videos, and infographics etc. Setting yourself up as an authority figure, especially as an online entrepreneur, will help your business gain the credibility it needs to succeed.
The second way to build up your reputation is through customer interaction and customer reviews. Customers will leave reviews on social media, Google, and other online sites. It is important for you to always follow-up with the reviews, whether they are positive or negative. Make sure you work through the problems that your customers face to let them know that you care about them as a customer. Potential customers will see this interaction and know that they can trust your company because of it.
Becoming an online entrepreneur is a rewarding career and carries with it a lot of potential for success. When you start your online business, stick to the basics to get yourself off the ground. Find a need and then fill it with a great product, build a strong base, and create and obtain a good reputation. Staying on top of these three things will help you excel as an online entrepreneur and will cause your business to grow immensely.

The character of the beaches varies widely, with family oriented beaches and, as befits an island with strong European influences, topless sun bathing. Nude sun bathing is also accepted but for the most part is limited to a section of Orient Beach on the French side and Cupecoy Beach on the Dutch side. Orient Bay also features an underwater marine reserve where snorkeling and other water sports are available.Perhaps the most famous beach here is Maho Bay, situated at the end of the airport’s runway, meaning large aircraft fly just feet over sunbathers’ heads. Some people actually engage in the practice of attempting to hold onto the airport fence as aircraft depart, although there have been injuries and deaths doing this. In any event, the view of the airplanes landing so close to the beach is a must-see. Just beyond Maho Bay is Mullet Bay, considered by some the nicest beach on the island, which offers food and drink vendors and beach lounger rentals, although few facilities. A full complement of tours and excursions are available, as well as water sports and parasailing.
Casinos are also a popular attraction on the island, with St. Maarten offering several casinos, including Atlantis World in the Cupecoy area, Casino Royale located in the Maho area, and Paradise Plaza and Tropicana located in the Cole Bay area. Phillipsburg has at least five casinos.

The Turks & Caicos Islands are two islands in the North Atlantic Ocean, southeast of the Bahamas. The islands were part of the United Kingdom’s Jamaican colony until 1959, when they assumed the title of a separate crown colony. Although independence was agreed upon for 1982, the policy was reversed and the islands are presently a British overseas territory.
Turks & Caicos is arid compared with other Caribbean destinations; the island receives less than 50 inches of rainfall annually and generally lacks the lush landscape found across other Caribbean nations. Still, the islands are consistently favored by sunshine and cooling breezes, and the beaches rank with the Caribbean’s best. The Turks & Caicos’ primary appeal is its status as a mostly undiscovered and not overly developed tourism destination.
Providenciales is the main tourism city although not the capital (which is Grand Turk). It features a handful of attractions including the Provo Golf Club, the island’s only 18-hole championship course, site of the 1999 and 2009 Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships. There are also various operators offering dive tours at reefs across the island. Travelers can also rent a boat for a full or half-day, or enjoy virtually every form of water sports, from parasailing to sail boarding. Picnics on exclusive private beaches can be arranged and there are multiple spots for snorkeling among the island’s exotic fish and coral. The Turks & Caicos has one of the world’s longest coral reefs, making it a premier dive destination.
Horseback riding and kite boarding are other available activities; visitors can take in the Caicos Conch Farm to learn about the life cycle of the conch, an unofficial island symbol. Fishing excursions are also available. The Turk & Caicos has an upscale beach-side dining scene, with a wide variety of restaurants including the popular Hemingway’s at the Sands at Grace Bay hotel. Grand Turk attractions include a historic lighthouse, which features a keeper’s residence and a kerosene storage building, all built of local limestone blocks. For generations, the lighthouse served as mariners’ sole beacon to avoid the treacherous northeast reef, which extends eastward far out to sea and was responsible for multiple shipwrecks.
Cruise ships call at the Carnival Cruise Line’s beachfront terminal in Grand Turk, which represents the islands’ closest link to mass tourism. Located toward the south end of the island, the terminal complex features a tourism village with shops and restaurants, an oversized pool where guests can rent private cabana, and an 800-foot-long beach. Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville is one of the popular eateries featured found here.
The main airport, in Providenciales, is small and at times struggles to keep pace with the recent wave of tourist arrivals. Travelers should arrange for a shuttle or taxi to meet them after landing. Upon departing, travelers should arrive at the airport approximately three to four hours before their fight time, especially on Saturdays, when lines can extend out of the airport doors.

Admit it: Flying first class can make the hassles of air travel so much better. I’ve been bumped up to first class twice: once while traveling solo on a business trip to Boston and once with my husband on our honeymoon. Let’s just say I liked it very much. Who wouldn’t appreciate a glass of Cabernet while waiting for everyone else to board?
While I love flying first class, I don’t exactly want to pay for it. First-class tickets can cost four times the coach fare, and it doesn’t seem worth it for a short flight.
So how do you increase your odds of getting moved up? Here are 10 things you can do to increase your odds of flying first class for free:
1. Dress the part. Pack your yoga pants, torn jeans, and flip-flops, and wear something that belongs in first class. You don’t have to wear a suit (although it wouldn’t hurt). Just wear something professional, and shows that you belong.
Bob Atkinson, travel expert at TravelSupermarket.com, advises sticking to the “smart casual” code, and that “a cashmere shawl or linen jacket can make all the difference.”
2. Ask for an upgrade. Sometimes if you want something, all you have to do is ask. When you check in, say to the agent: “If you are upgrading passengers on this flight, I would like to be considered.” Be sure to smile. Many of the people gate agents deal with are complaining; you’ll stand out if you’re friendly and polite.
“Be nice to everybody from the moment you walk on airport property,” former flight attendant Carolyn Paddock, founder of the website Life in Flight, told Bankrate.com. “You’re talking to people who are decision makers.”
3. Be early. The early bird gets the worm. Instead of trying to get the attention of the agent while he or she is busy with other passengers, show up early and be the first one to ask. Your flight may have only one or two upgrades available.
4. Travel solo. There is a greater chance that just one or two seats will be available in first class. If you frequently travel with co-workers, your odds of getting singled out are slim. Instead, fly by yourself to improve your chances.
5. Travel during peak times. If the flight has fewer passengers, chances are no one will be moved up. Airlines are more likely to upgrade people to make room on flights they oversell.
6. Sit next to the baby or take the middle seat. If a flight attendant is moving passengers, he or she may look to make the trip more comfortable for someone by moving them from a less desirable seat.
7. Give up your spot. When the gate agent asks for people who are willing to give up their seat, volunteer if you can be upgraded on the next flight. You will experience the delay, but it might be worth it if you can fly first class. This works especially well if there aren’t other people volunteering, Jeanenne Tornatore, senior editor at travel website Orbitz.com, told Market Watch.
8. Check your seat. When you sit down, make sure your armrests, recliner, tray table, and seat belt are in working condition. If they’re broken, let the flight attendant know. Passengers in broken seats will be reassigned–and it could be to first class.
9. Join the airline’s loyalty club. Even if you don’t travel often, it doesn’t hurt to become a member of an airline frequent-flyer club. You’ll often receive upgrade opportunities, and if agents are looking to move someone, they could look to their list of members first.
“If our airport staff are looking to upgrade passengers on the day of departure, there is a process that they follow which generally sees passengers that are frequent flyers of the airline–or those that have paid for a fully flexible ticket–benefiting,” Harriet Bevis, Virgin Atlantic spokesperson, told the Daily Mail.
10. Let flight attendants know if it’s a special occasion. If it’s your birthday, anniversary, or honeymoon, let the flight attendants know. And if you don’t get an upgrade, you just might get a free drink.

The “Lifestyle” approach to marketing is an innovative yet natural way to gain financial independence. It’s innovative because it defies the traditional business model of relying on advertising to generate slow-building product sales. That’s why when I started to list nine great reasons why this is the perfect day to start owning your life, I had a really hard time. It wasn’t because it was hard to come up with nine reasons, it was hard to limit the list to just nine!
To help me narrow the many reasons down to just a few, I went to some of our most successful partners. They told me that for them, the benefit isn’t just making more money; it is enjoying a whole new lifestyle. These are the nine biggest benefits of that lifestyle.
When was the last time you took a vacation? How long was it? For most people vacations are controlled by their employer. They are told when they can go and how long they can take. Wouldn’t you like to take as long a vacation as you want, when you are ready to go? When you own the business, you set the vacation schedule!
If you spend 40, 60 or even 80 hours a week at work, how much time are you spending with your family? How many dance recitals or 
parent-teacher meetings have you missed? These years of family time that you are losing can never be regained. Make the choice to own your life today, and start giving your family the love and attention that both you and they deserve.
Life is full of tough choices. You hated the idea of taking your kids to daycare instead of being home with them every day. You had to, though, just to make ends meet. A home mortgage is one of the biggest expenses most people have. Wouldn’t you like to get yours paid off sooner? Just one extra principal payment each year can take years off of your loan. Imagine what two or three could do! Imagine making an extra payment each month! Paying your mortgage off sooner can mean having to work less in your later years.
Owning your business can mean earning more money for the things you want. Because your labor goes to make money for you instead of a corporation, you can earn more money for the hours that you work. You may want to put some of this money toward the car or home you have always wanted. That is what financial freedom is all about.
Saving money is the same as making more money. When you own a home-based business, part of your home becomes business space. The rooms you work in, the computer and printer you use, and your Internet service and cell phone all may become business expenses. This means they may be deductible on your taxes, saving you money! That is more money you can put to work paying off debts or taking a hard-earned vacation.
When you work for someone else, it is hard to have extra money at the end of the month for savings. If your car broke down, could you pay to get it fixed? If your child needed braces, could you afford them? The extra money you can earn with your own business can make this possible. You can put some of that money in the bank for a rainy day. That way, when the bumps in the road of life come along, you will be ready for them.
Do have enough money in the bank to retire when you are ready? Does your present job let you save enough money every month so that you can ever stop working? Jobs today rarely come with company-paid retirement plans. They make you put your money into stocks or IRAs if you want to be able to retire. That can be hard to do when you barely make enough to pay the bills. Your home-based business can give you the extra money to start building up your retirement savings now.

I’ve always said the business was simple but why? I’m going to lay out in bullet points what I explained to him and why I believe Coastal Travel is so simple.
1. The product is in huge demand. Who does not want to take a vacation? With the news and perception that the economy is slow who does not want to make some extra money on top of that? But that alone does not make it simple.
2. The presentations, the telling and selling is already done for you. DFI is a marketing and training system established by Coastal Travel Directors for Coastal Travel Directors. IF you are part of the DFI Marketing/Training and Development system then you don’t have to build websites that is already done. Live Conference calls that are live and with real people. Hosted by people who are giving back of their time. Usually 6 Figure Income earners doing the presenting for you and answering questions for you when you are brand new.
3. Advertising and Marketing already figured out. While you can market coastal travel like any other product or service. If you don’t have that type of background you can use the same marketing methods that every other leader is using. 95% of the money I ever earned came utilizing our marketing companies that DFI has set up for us. This is probably one of the biggest reasons for success. The successful directors are building their business just like the newest person. That’s duplication.
4. Support and Training is unbelievable. In Coastal Travel you can believe that almost always your director I don’t care how long they have been around they will be there to help you. It’s genius the way the training pay works. I’d say it definitely ensures that someone is there to help you but, on top of that the DFI Training System is incredible. 18 live support training calls every week were successful directors are volunteering their time to help you build a business and succeed. They are giving back because someone did it for them. OK maybe this is the reason for the business being so simple.
The bottom line is this where else in corporate America does it exist were the most successful people will volunteer hours a week to help guide you and be there to provide feedback for you when ever you need it. If you are like me you maybe wondering what do they get for it? That was my biggest question about 4 years ago as well. The reality is they get absolutely nothing except for a good feeling inside knowing they are helping someone get to where they are.
5. The People, are genuine honest and real. Some of the best people I ever met in my life were in DFI. I’d have to say that DFI makes Coastal Travel what it is. People who care about you from day one. It doesn’t matter that they don’t know you, in the beginning you just know that they are there to help. It’s not till later that you realize behind the scenes on every call there are hundreds of people in the background that are cheering you on and pulling for you. They really do want you to succeed. Over time they start to learn who you are as a person, by your voice over the phone and your personality. How many times have you had someone encourage you to do better over and over. They were never jealous they just wanted to see you succeed!
I guess I’d have to restate the obvious now because of DFI, Coastal Travel is an extremely simple why to work from home. All the hard part of being in your own business is figured out. They have the product, the presentations are figured out for your clients via websites or conference calls, they have the clients already expecting to hear back from you and they have people who are incredibly giving. Over all combined DFI has created the best experience of my life.
